How does your service work?

Marin Rentals and Roommates is the best way to find just the right place for you to live in Marin County. You obtain the listings from our comprehensive database based upon your unique preferences.

  • You provide the preferences for your next home
  • You will receive detailed descriptions that match your preferences
  • You receive new listings that match your preferences as frequently as you desire per request within 48 hours or immediately via our website


How much does your service cost?

Many of our clients find suitable housing in the first week or two, although the fee provides for unlimited referrals for 1 month from the date of registration.

    $50.00 for either Rentals or Rooms

How do you get your listings?

We provide listings free of charge to our landlords. Many of our landlords list with Marin Rentals and Roommates exclusively based upon our successful track record of filling their vacancies with excellent tenants as quickly as possible. Although many of our rental properties are solely listed with Marin Rentals we do not limit our landlords to only using our service as their only means of advertising their properties.

Landlords listing with us agree to confirm weekly that their listing is still current and available, and also acknowledge their responsibility to comply with the Fair Housing Act. By default listings are kept on the site up to 3 months unless the landlord lets us know it was rented.

How do I become a client?

When do I receive new listings?

You can access new listings as often as you like via our website 24 hours a day. This allows you to have the freedom to check for new rentals when you want and to change your preference as often as you want.  When a new listing has been validated by our staff it is immediately active on the website 7 days a week.  If you need additional help finding your dream rental please feel free to email our staff at support@rentinmarin.com with the specifics of what you are looking for and our staff will create a list of all available rentals on our website, MLS Listings, and other online and offline resources.  You will receive your an email with these listings within two business days of your request.

How do I change my preferences?

You can change your preferences as often as you like by altering your website search criteria.

How do I get information on a listing in the sample section?

If a listing in the preview section does not appear on your updated search, contact our office using the 24-hour message hotline only for our clients and we will add it to your search list.

What rental rates should I expect?

Rental rates can vary widely depending on the location, size and type of housing. Rental rates are also subject to variations in the general economic climate. From time to time, we will publish the average rates of our listings or the Marin County area for your review.

Can I get a refund?

You can receive a full refund for the rental referral service if your initial search did not produce 3 listings via the website that meet the preferences you submitted for type of structure, location, number of bedrooms, and maximum rent within 5 days of your registration.  The system is designed that a person is not allowed to sign up unless there are rentals that match their criteria so your first search upon signing up with at least produce 3 valid results or the system will not give you the option to signup.
